Hometown Housing Partnership works in partnership with the City of East Lansing, Michigan State University and several other organizations to offer homeownership assistance programs to people seeking to live in East Lansing. HHP is always researching new ideas and working to bring the best opportunities and assistance to potential homebuyers.
Homeownership Opportunity Assistance Program (HOAP)
HOAP offers down payment assistance, rehabilitation money and lead paint remediation for income qualified buyers. If you find a home in one of our four target neighborhoods, up to $25,000 per home is available to help you purchase it.
Avondale Square
Located in the Avondale section of the popular Bailey neighborhood, Avondale Square sits on the corner of Virginia Avenue and Burcham Road. This neotraditional housing project features beautiful, newly-constructed row-house-style condominiums and detached single family homes. Down payment assistance is available for income qualified buyers.
